Say "no problem" to bone marrow appeal

Actor Malcolm Frederick, who starred in the 80s sitcom "No Problem", urgently needs your help to stay alive.

He is seeking a bone marrow donor and desperately requires more people to give a blood sample in order to find a match.

Frederick, who has a 30 year long list of theatre, film and TV credits to his name, is suffering from a form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma called Mantle Cell Lymphoma which is an aggressive form of the cancer.

The only 'cure' is a bone marrow transplant. His siblings have been checked but unfortunately there isn't a match.

He is in remission at the moment but we have no knowledge of how long this will last. The best time to do the bone marrow operation is ideally whilst he is in remission, as he should be better able to deal with the side effects etc of this operation. He really needs the transplant as soon as possible. Finding a matching donor is considerably greater in donors from the same ethnic background. Can you help Malcolm and many others like him?

All we are asking is for people to have the test and see if they can help. Even if they are not a match for Malcolm they may be able to help somebody else in need.
