Before
Yvette became ill she spent many happy years at Parson Street
Primary School. She used to love going to school, the
teachers liked her and she had many friends. She was
invited back as a guest and the day that the
school held a fundraising day to help raise funds.
The day was amazing and they raised £400 for the campaign.
Thank you to everyone for your support. The picture shows
Yvette with some of the pupils at the school. Click on the

Children at a primary school in
St.Paul's Bristol held a food sale to help raise funds for the
Campaign. The pupils from the Year Six class
at St.Barnabas Primary School contacted local shops and
businesses to ask for contributions. The sale was a great
success and was reported next day in the Bristol Evening Post.

Shelley
Thomas and her cousin Lauren Perrett did their own
sponsored run around Ashton Park in Bristol. They
completed the circuit twice and were able to raise the
impressive sum of £67. This is a great effort by the two
girls and we thank them both, as well as everyone that supported
them. The picture on the right shows Shelley with Yvette.

The pupils of Ashton Park School
in Bristol excelled themselves beyond any expectations that
we may have had. They organised several fundraising
events, the main one being a "non-uniform day". So how did
they do? They were able to raise £1,800. Ashton Park
School is special to us as it is Yvette's school and her brother
Solomon also goes there. Unfortunately Yvette has never
been able to attend classes due to her condition, and has to be
taught at home. Clearly the staff and pupils at Ashton
Park School care very much for Yvette and we thank all who were
involved in this great fundraising effort.
Four
pupils from Ashton Park School in Bristol raised £160 for the
Campaign by washing cars. Faye Sellars,
Emmaleigh Coates, Letoyah Sampson and Charlie
Feltham are pupils at the school that Yvette has never been
able to attend due to her illness. The photo on the left

Lucas
Moon-Alvarez from Bristol is having a party for his sixth
birthday - but he doesn't want any presents. He has asked
his family and friends to give money instead to help Bedminster
girl Yvette Gate. This story appeared in the Bristol
Evening Post and truly shows the love and
kindness that Lucas clearly has in his heart. You are a
shining example to us all Lucas!

Belinda
French organised a Tabletop Sale at the Jack Brimble Centre in St Werburgh's, Bristol.
A magnificent £300 was raised from the sale and
associated events and we thank the St Werburgh's
Community very much. The community who
supported the sale are also going to be organising
many other fundraising events in April. Watch
this space for more details. Pictured on the
left is Belinda from the Bristol Evening Post. Click on thumbnail to enlarge.
A big thank you to Ruth from
Oregon, USA who was so kind to send a cheque for $200.
Such generosity from so far away - we really appreciate it very
much.
Sue
Mills works for Besley Hill Estate Agents in Chipping
Sodbury, near Bristol. She has been very busy raising
money for the Fund. She organised a raffle at the BAWA
Club in Bristol and also did a sponsored swim. In total
she was able to raise £216 over these two events. And she
says there is more to come! Thank you very much to Sue and
all of her colleagues at work and the BAWA Club who supported
her. The photo on the left shows Sue with Yvette.
